Hole in the Wall A nice baroque sounding 3/2 hornpipe found in Playford's Dancing Master . It has been attributed to Henry Purcell Mrs Maxwell Or Planxty Madam Maxwell. A sprightly harp air by Turlough O'Carolan. (See here for a collection of Carolan tunes) Westmorland A Thursday night favourite. Found in Playford's "Complete Dancing Master". Although it is written in 6/8, we play it more as a waltz The New Dresser Written by Andy Hornby to commemorate a piece of furniture! More of Andy's tunes here. Finnish Schottische A fun and very danceable schottische in Dmajor/Dminor. Played by Blowzabella Captain Nemo 3 part jig with a French feel from Blowzabella. Gwenda's Welcome to Lancaster Another Andy Hornby tune with a baroque feel, written for local fiddler Gwenda The Lark in the Strand/Cliffs of Moher Celia plays these great Irish jigs as a set so they should count as one choice! ???
